Pathways to New Ideas
This seminar is aimed at doctoral candidates and postdocs.
The goal
Creativity is an important building block for scientific work and innovation. What promotes creativity? The aim of the seminar is to convey scientifically sound principles of creativity as well as introduce selected creativity techniques. In exemplary creativity exercises, you will practice changing perspectives and developing new ideas.
The guiding questions
- How do creativity and creative behavior arise?
- How can I develop new ideas and solutions to problems and foster my creativity?
- Which techniques can be used for fostering creativity in a team or project?
The implementation
The seminar alternates between short theoretical sections on the basis of creativity and creativity techniques, suggestions for reflection, the application of creativity exercises and group discussions.
Instructors
Stefanie Krauth, M.Sc. is a research assistant, trainer and PhD candidate at the LMU Center for Leadership and People Management. She studied psychology at the University of Vienna with a focus on work, economic and social psychology.
Franziska Schrade, M.Sc. is a research assistant, trainer and doctoral candidate at the Center for Leadership and People Management. She studied psychology (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) at the University of Heidelberg with a master's degree in Organizational Behavior and Adaptive Cognition. She spent time abroad at Arizona State University and the University of Vienna and worked for many years as a research assistant and tutor in educational and work and organizational psychology.
